Digital Copy Editor
The Times-Dispatch in Richmond, Virginia, is seeking a versatile and collaborative producer to coordinate content for our digital and print audiences.
Duties include:
•Balancing multiple assignments and priorities on deadline.
•Editing stories for style, clarity and accuracy. Adhere to basic libel policies and guidelines.
•Optimizing content for digital audiences through SEO-friendly headlines and content management system best practices. Familiarity with analytic tools such as Parsley and photo/video applications a plus.
•Proofing pages for print edition and e-edition.
•Monitoring wire services and other sources and updating stories as news develops.
Strong news judgment, SEO skills and experience with social media best practices are required.
This position include nights, weekend and holiday shifts.
