Traveling Superintendent
Job Summary : The Superintendent oversees all phases of the job site.
Duties/Responsibilities: - Follows Values, Vision and Mission
- Directs and leads multiple crews
- Travels to jobsites - while traveling, $145/per diem if traveling more than 60 miles away.
- Weekly vehicle allowance, gas card, and company credit card.
- Yearly bonus up to 10% a year based on performance.
- Develops a schedule and cost-effective plan for completion of an assigned project
- Creates estimates and budgets for materials and labor
- Coordinates and schedules work activities for all laborers communicating via foreman to deliver instructions and project assignments as appropriate
- Regularly inspects work for quality and timeliness
- Obtains required permits and licenses
- Monitors budget throughout the project
- Addresses any safety violations or deficiencies
- Creates comparison worksheets and gathers quotes for materials on larger projects
- Tracks and invoices specialty equipment to appropriate cost code
- Accurately codes project invoices
- Ensures all required documentation including certificates, lien wavers, disclaimers, warrantees, etc. are collected
- Performs other related duties as assigned/needed up to and including all laborer duties

- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Proficient with ProContractor and Blue-Beam
- Excellent understanding of construction drawings
Education and Experience :
- 4-year college degree in construction management or equivalent job experience
- Valid drivers license or State ID
- CPR and First Aid (Thompson will train)
Physical Requirements :
- Must be able to kneel, crouch, balance, climb, crawl
- Must be able to traverse different types of worksites and bend, climb, stretch, and reach
- Must be able to exert physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in a variety of environments including but not limited to concrete, dirt, fumes, and loud noise levels
- Must be able to work long hours and Saturdays when needed
