Daily Responsibilities of an Executive Technology Recruiter:
Manage:
- Manage a "full desk" and both sides of the professional Recruiting process - work with clients (hiring managers at various businesses) as well as candidates (job-seekers in your area). Maintain your notes, stay organized, provide updates, keep all parties happy.
Sell:
- Prospect, call, connect, and meet with potential clients. Ask lots of discovery questions to identify current or future hiring needs. Sell your recruiting services, represent your candidates. Up-sell, and cross-sell with our temporary, permanent, accounting and finance divisions. Explain contracts & fees, close the deal.
Recruit:
- Write job descriptions, post ads, network, InMail, and otherwise source a wide range of technology professionals. Screen resumes, interview, qualify, assess, and advise job-seekers on their career goals. Provide interview prep and help them land a new, better job!
Matchmake:
- Recommend best fit candidates for each open position. Assist throughout the entire interviewing/hiring process - scheduling, getting feedback, rejecting, presenting offers, negotiating salaries, etc.
Build:
- Build and maintain a long-lasting professional network. Follow up, ensure successful placements, check in, problem solve, consult, meet referrals, offer opportunities. Become the go-to Recruiter in your area.
Candidate Requirements:
Skills & Personality:
- Ability to perform the tasks described above - transferrable experiences are welcome!
- Sharp and a quick study - one must be able to keep up with new technologies and trends as they come out
- Organized, disciplined, great time-management
- Friendly, team-oriented, has a sense of humor!
Non-Negotiable:
- 2+ years of professional, full-time work experience post-education. Good tenure at previous companies.
- Can reliably commute to our office 5 days/week for ramp-up. Ideal candidates will sit at our West Hartford location, although it is possible to work out of our Shelton or Stamford offices. Non-local applicants will not be considered.
Pay, Benefits and Important Info:
Compensation:
- Permanent base salary
- Commission on top. Uncapped!! No quotas or thresholds required to start making commission. Tiered bonus structure. Multiple ways to make commission.
- Total income Yr 1 typically ranges from $60k to $120k depending on experience and performance
