Job Description

A Special Education Teacher position is available for a high school setting in Sanford, NC. This is a contracted role for the current school year (CSY) designed to support students with diverse learning needs.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with high school students requiring individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Ability to implement specialized instructional strategies tailored to student needs
• Strong classroom management skills and collaborative approach to working with staff and families
• Knowledge of state and federal special education regulations

Location:

• High School environment, serving secondary level students

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized instruction in compliance with students IEPs
• Assess student progress through formal and informal measures
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support personnel, and families to promote student success
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to student performance and compliance
• Participate in IEP meetings and educational planning
