Position: Special Education Teacher

Hours: Full time, 7:45am - 2:45pm M-F

Location: Position is near Sherwood Forest VA

School Year: 2025/2026

Pay Range: Contractors are compensated weekly at an hourly rate, with pay ranges determined by state, location, and experience/education. Hourly compensation for our Special Education Teachers ranges from $30 to $50 an hour.



Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction and support to students with special needs in a Resource/InclusionClassroom setting
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) for each student
• Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure effective support for students
• Track and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and administration about student progress

Qualifications:

• Valid VirginiaSpecial Education certification
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Reliable Transportation
