Move Forward with Volt! Volt is immediately hiring for Seasonal Safety Specialist in Ontario, CA. We’re looking for a Safety Specialist to help keep our distribution center safe, secure, and running smoothly. You will be responsible for checking that safety rules are followed, spotting risks, and helping prevent accidents or theft. This role is perfect for someone who’s detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about creating a safe work environment. As a Safety Specialist you will be: Make sure safety and security rules are followed throughout the building. Perform fair and accurate audits to check how things are running. Confirm that daily operations follow company procedures. Share audit results with the Loss Prevention (LP) Risk Manager. Work professionally with team members and security staff. Help with safety checks and investigations when needed. Review security footage and monitor guard activity and employee exits. Help enforce health, safety, and environmental rules. report any issues right away. Support accident investigations and help find ways to prevent future ones. Check packages manually from UPS and FedEx. Walk through the building each night to spot and fix safety or security concerns. Join Safety Committee meetings and share ideas. Help train team members on safety and security policies. Spot possible theft patterns and report them to the LP Risk Manager. Assist with special LP projects as assigned. This is a full-time (seasonal 2-3 months) opportunity. Schedule: 3rd shift - Sunday - Thursday 8:45pm - 5:30am +OT (Fridays will be mandatory if needed) The ideal candidate will have: Three (3) to five (5) years of Loss Prevention, fire prevention, safety, or security experience or equivalent preferred Computer skills include MS Office (Word and Excel) Clear and professional communication skills—both speaking and writing. Good problem-solving skills to spot issues and help fix them. Basic understanding of safety and security rules (OSHA, health, environmental, and loss prevention is a plus). Familiarity with security systems like alarms and cameras is helpful. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus! Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends and overtime as required. Must pass Pre-employment Drug Test and Background Check which may include credit, criminal, and driving history.
