Our studio has co-developed many award-winning and commercially successful IP games such as Diablo, Warhammer, Star Wars, Call of Duty, The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, etc. According to Sensor Tower, the top 5 games launched globally by Chinese developers in 2020, we are very honored to have co-developed all top 5, including Call of Duty, Knives Out, Rise of Kingdoms, etc. We helped our clients, like AFK Arena, raise conversion rates by 11% - 12% during App Store A/B Test.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager with proven experience in the gaming industry. In this role, you will oversee the development and delivery of game projects, ensuring alignment with creative vision, technical requirements, and business goals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Art, Design, Engineering, QA, and external partners, to keep projects on track and deliverables at the highest quality.

Location:

• Burlingame, CA (On-site / Remote) Note: Remote roles are available with an adjusted salary compared to on-site positions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of game development projects from pre-production through launch.
• Define project scope, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with leadership and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Art, Design, Engineering, Audio, QA, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless workflows.
• Manage outsourcing pipelines and vendor relationships when applicable.
• Track project progress, identify risks and bottlenecks, and proactively implement solutions.
• Maintain clear communication channels and provide consistent updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards for both creative and technical requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in project management within the gaming industry (PC, console, or mobile).
• Strong understanding of game art development pipelines and workflows (concept, illustrations, 3D, animation, etc).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Monday.com, Asana, Trello).
• Experience working with cross-functional and/or global teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, Game Design, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing external development partners, outsourcing studios, or freelance contributors.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint planning.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Perforce, Git) and digital asset management (DAM) tools.
• PMP, CSM, or other project management certifications.
• Bilingual in Mandarin and English is a plus.
