This outside sales position will cover Michigan, Northern Indiana & Northwest Ohio
Position Summary:
This Outside Sales role is responsible for developing new and existing business through product development and industry-specific account development. This role's primary focus is in the automotive supplier industry and developing relationships with new and existing accounts through field/sales visits. The incumbent will be responsible for relationship building, identifying, and creating business and sales objectives, discovering customer pain points, and recognizing new market opportunities.
Job Requirements:
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
· Ability to work remotely from a home office.
· Daily and overnight business travel within the assigned territory. Minimum 4 days field visits
· Minimum two (2) years of experience in sales or applications pertaining to the automotive industry, robotics, automation, machine building, etc....
· Experience with Salesforce CRM using both PC and mobile applications.
· Communication skills to present technical information in a clear and concise manner.
· Strong and effective organizational, consultative, and detailed oriented aptitude
· Excellent communication skills and a will to build and sustain long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers.
· Access to a vehicle for business travel
Preferred Skills and Experience:
· Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering, preferred
· Outside sales experience preferably in automotive or 3+ years of industrial experience.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams)
· Proficient in CRM applications (Salesforce)
· Knowledge of manufacturing process, including terminology
Job Functions:
· Customer phone calls and emails to arrange visits, quote follow-up when required, and identifying new customers and opportunities (required KPIs)
· Must maintain an accurate record of all sales leads, customer accounts, and contacts in Salesforce.
· Strategic planning by scheduling customer visits in target areas throughout the territory.
· Maximize facetime at customers while keeping windshield time to a minimum.
· Strategic on-site customer visits for sales calls, product presentation, troubleshooting, and identifying new applications with key decision makers (required KPIs)
· Record sales visit recap/ overview entry in the Salesforce mobile application following each visit, including next steps, follow-up activities and reminders.
· Strategic research and target for priority prospects, new business, and opportunities in (OEMs, Users, Distributors)
· Researching and identifying competitor’s customers in the territory to convert them into BRECOflex accounts.
· Responsible for scheduling business travel through company’s travel provider (i.e. flight, hotel, car)
· Responsible for gathering technical/required information needed to generate quote requests.
· Awareness of latest industry developments by attending trade shows, workshops to promote BRECOflex products and prospect new customers.
· Troubleshoot and identify the customer’s needs by working with the correct internal departments to resolve any issues.
· Prepare and submit expense and mileage reports on a weekly basis.
· Create and present annual forecast and territory strategy.
· Other duties as assigned.
Physical/Environmental:
· Based out of home office.
· Must be able to travel to various customer locations which include both office and manufacturing settings.
· Able to walk, sit, stand, and inspect equipment or materials as required to effectively present the company’s products.
