Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site Company: STS Technical Services STS Technical Services is hiring a detail-oriented MRO Inventory Controller to support growing industrial maintenance repair operations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is a hands-on, on-site role responsible for vendor relationships, stock accuracy, and building a modern, user-friendly inventory system. Position Summary: We are expanding operations and looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and knows how to keep parts and inventory under control. This role involves both strategy and floor time—meaning you’ll be just as comfortable at a workstation as you are negotiating with suppliers. Responsibilities: Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships Build and manage physical spare parts inventory for multiple industrial maintenance locations Develop and oversee inventory control using a modern CMMS Collaborate with maintenance and purchasing teams to order parts for both stock and urgent machine-down situations Research and evaluate existing and new vendors Monitor and adjust critical path items as needed Perform hands-on inventory tasks and ensure stock data accuracy Required Qualifications: Proven negotiation and decision-making skills Strong organizational habits and attention to detail Working knowledge of purchasing operations and protocols Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Familiarity with MRO practices in industrial settings Valid U.S. driver’s license Preferred Qualifications: Six Sigma Black Belt Certification Experience using ERP systems (Epicor preferred) Background in manufacturing purchasing Familiarity with MaintainX or other modern CMMS platforms This position is 100% on-site in Milwaukee.
