Job Title: Mold AssemblerJob Description

The Mold Assembler performs a variety of tasks under supervision to assist machine operators and the core department. Responsibilities include operating a core oven, handling trays and racks, and following specifications and instructions. The role involves using pallet moving equipment, including forklifts, to transport items across departments. Duties also include performing casting wash procedures, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist machine operators and the core department.
• Operate core oven to bake cores, load trays and racks, and remove them after baking.
• Transport various items using pallet moving equipment and forklifts.
• Retrieve empty racks, keep core pallets organized, and deliver core wire.
• Perform casting wash procedures.
• Observe and comply with all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain simple records and keep work area clean and orderly.
• Perform other duties as instructed by the supervisor.

Essential Skills

• Experience in a foundry environment.
• Ability to inspect parts accurately.
• Capability to learn crane operations.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic machine operating experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with machine operating and assembly.
• Crane operation skills.
• Quality assurance experience.

Work Environment

The role is based in a very dirty and loud manufacturing environment with approximately 100 employees. The use of protective gear is essential due to the conditions. The workplace fosters a culture of safety and orderliness.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HANOVER, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
