Golden Valley Electric Association (GVEA) of Fairbanks, AK is looking to hire a full-time Member Services Representative I Satellite (Delta) as part of the Member Services Division located in Delta Junction, AK . This position earns a competitive starting wage of $25.99 . GVEA is an electric cooperative which maintains 3,261 miles of transmission and distribution lines, 35 substations, and 9 generating facilities. Our system is interconnected with Fort Wainwright, Eielson AFB, Fort Greely, the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, and all of the electric utilities in the Alaska Railbelt, extending from Homer to Fairbanks. Our Member Services Representative I Satellite provides exceptional customer service support to the membership as the primary and on-going point of contact for account creation, payments, usage understanding and general cooperative knowledge and new construction process. They help assist members during high stress scenarios including unexpected outages or disconnects for non-payment and utilize and communicate known resources to restore electric service. By using extensive knowledge of the cooperative, the Member Services Representative I Satellite help build trust and member education in a professional manner with high quality customer service.
The Member Services Representative I Satellite plays an integral role in GVEA's ability to serve the Interior of Alaska in providing reliable electric service at fair and reasonable prices!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN MEMBER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE I
Previous work experience in a Cooperative or Electric Utility would be preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
Do you have excellent customer service skills? Do you have the ability to prioritize managing multiple tasks and problem-solving independently? Can you work in a group? Are you attentive to detail? Can you effectively prioritize multiple tasks? Can you maintain a confident and professional demeanor under stressful conditions? Are you dependable and trustworthy? WORK SCHEDULE
This position typically works Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
