All while understanding that **together** we are even better. **Schedule:** Full Time **Shift** : Monday - Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00PM **Location:** **301 N DALE MABRY HWY, Tampa, 33609** **The role you'll contribute:** Reporting to the Practice Manager and under the supervision of the Providers, the Medical Assistant/Patient Registration Coordinator is accountable for the patient's first impression of the organization in addition for their care as they perform a wide variety of patient care activities including patient registration and clinical duties. Adheres to state, federal and organizational guidelines to ensure quality care and patient safety with support from the Clinical Excellence team. Is essential in maintaining organization and facilitating patient flow. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. **The value you'll bring to the team:** + Follows CDC guidelines, infection prevention practices, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs hand washing according to policy, and follows safety regulations. + Completes check-out duties and relays instructions/care to the patient or family. + Performs diagnostic and occupational medicine testing, including EKG, spirometry, audiometry, titmus, pulse oximetry, and forensic testing collections in accordance with DOT and Drug Free Workplace Guidelines. + Other duties as assigned. + Drives customer service initiatives by creating and owning the patient experience. + Answers telephone, responds to patient questions/concerns to ensure prompt accurate resolution, and handles various job tasks simultaneously. **The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:** **Minimum qualifications:** + High school diploma or equivalent + 1 year of related work experience OR Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with completion of externship OR 6 months relevant experience within an AdventHealth facility + American Association Medical Assistants (AAMA), or + American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), or + American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), or + American Medical Technologists (AMT), or + NAHP Nat'l Reg Cert Med Asst (NAHPCMA), or + National Center for Competency Testing-Medical Asst (NCMA), or + National Healthcareer Association (NHA), or + Licensed Paramedic (PARA), + Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS), + Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT), + Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). **Preferred qualifications:** + Previous MA experience + Previous urgent care / ED experience This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
