About the Role:

The Lead Residential Audio/Visual Technician is responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of advanced audio and visual systems in residential settings. This role ensures that all AV systems meet client specifications and function seamlessly to enhance the home entertainment experience. The lead technician will coordinate with clients, project managers, and other technicians to deliver high-quality, customized solutions. They will also troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide expert guidance on system upgrades and innovations. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in elevating the standard of residential AV installations through leadership, technical expertise, and exceptional customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in audio/visual technology or related field preferred.
  • Experience in residential audio/visual installation and system integration.
  • Strong knowledge of Savant, Lutron and Control 4 to deliver seamless smart-home experiences.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites as required.
  • Certified Site Safety Training (SST) and 30-Hour OSHA required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with home automation systems and smart home integration.
  • Familiarity with CAD software or other design tools used for AV system planning.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the installation of residential audio and visual systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to AV equipment and system integration.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of installations, configurations, and service activities.
  • Stay current with emerging AV technologies and recommend upgrades or improvements to existing systems.
