Overview

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to support a curriculum development team that manages more than 400 U.S.-based training materials and supports product launches in multiple translated languages. As the organization transitions from a U.S.-centric training model to a globally consistent curriculum strategy, additional support is needed to transform marketing-provided PDFs and PowerPoints into engaging, interactive eLearning. These modules will be optimized for the LMS, improving usability, accessibility, and learner engagement across global audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Transform existing training content (100% in PPT/PDF format) into interactive eLearning modules using Articulate and/or iSpring.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment with the global curriculum strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with the curriculum development team to meet timelines and quality standards.
  • Apply best practices in instructional design to enhance accessibility, usability, and learner engagement.
  • Maintain attention to detail while managing multiple modules at various stages of development.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment, providing progress updates and proactively addressing issues.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Instructional Designer, with expertise in eLearning development.
  • Strong proficiency with Articulate and/or iSpring.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to ensure consistency across large volumes of content.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills; able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience developing Level 1 interactive eLearning modules.
  • Versatility and flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and priorities.
  • No prior industry-specific experience required.

Project Details

  • Engagement Type: Hourly, time-and-materials (T&M).
  • Content Source: 100% existing content (PPT/PDF).
  • Modality: eLearning (Level 1 interactivity).
  • Tools/Access: Consultant will be provided with email and access to licensed tools; laptop access TBD.
  • Collaboration Style: Flexible, detail-oriented, and team-focused.

Start Date: October 2025

Duration: 6 months with possible extension

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: 100% Virtual

The pay range for this is $60.00 to $65.00 per hour on an independent contractor basis. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
