SUMMARY:

Under general direction, the Web Store Manager is responsible for all operations associated with Aztec Shops’ Campus Store website which includes order fulfillment, administration, content, functionality and overall customer experience.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES DEPENDING ON LOCATION:

  • Responsible for ensuring orders to Aztec Shops’ websites (shopAztecs and EzBooks) are processed and shipped the next business day and that all merchandise returns are processed in accordance with store policy.

  • Responsible for the supervision of the Amazon business, ensuring that orders are fulfilled promptly, payment checks are processed in a timely manner and stock levels are accurately maintained.

  • Responsible for the hiring, training and development and supervision of part time staff and ensuring staffing levels meet the needs of the business.

  • Develops written procedures to be used as training tools for part time staff and for on-going policy and procedure documentation, updating as necessary.

  • Understands and utilizes systems and programs used in the fulfillment of web orders.

  • In conjunction with the Associate Director of Store Operations, responsible for expense budgeting and tracking.

  • Collaborates with the Buying Group to add, update, and remove products from the website in addition to monitoring stock levels of featured merchandise and communication with customers on backorders and other issues.

  • Collaborates with Operations to review informational pages (i.e.: store hours, terms of service, refund policies) regularly for clarity and updating.

  • Collaborates with Marketing to develop advertising/promotional vehicles for web store and assist in review of all proofs, graphic and copy, for accuracy.

  • Develops and maintains working relationships with customers, coworkers, vendors, student organizations, faculty, staff, and university personnel.

  • Must comply with and ensure continued, consistent compliance with all company policies, and federal, state, and local laws/regulations including but not limited to: employment, safety, and health.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

A Bachelor’s degree or four years college education preferred; plus two years or more of related retail experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a web, merchandising, or store environment is desirable.

Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office and FileMaker, along with experience in web development is preferred. Basic knowledge of HTML and Google Analytics is also highly desirable.

Design and artistic acuity, proofreading skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently are required; as well as strong interpersonal and negotiating skills.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS: 

Must be able to read, write and understand English. Requires the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, guidelines and objectives. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, subordinates, vendors, other departments, customers and the general public.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: 

Requires understanding of financial record-keeping methods, procedures and practices. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic math. Ability to apply basic math and algebra.

 

REASONING ABILITY: 

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

MANUAL DEXTERITY:

Must be able to utilize a computer. Requires the ability to use a variety of office machines.

 

PHYSICAL COMMUNICATION: 

Must have the ability to talk/expressing and/or exchanging ideas and hear/perceiving sounds.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Employees are required to stand, walk and lift. Must be able to move, lift or carry objects or materials up to 20 pounds. Must be able to operate office equipment such as computers, copy machines, fax machines, and to operate a 10-key calculator. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit; handle objects; keypad or papers, books and reach. Specific visual abilities required by this job include close vision for extensive reading and interpretation of reports and documents.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS AND HAZARDS:

Work is regularly performed in a warehouse setting and office setting. There may be exposure to airborne particles created from incoming boxes and merchandise. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

 

BACKGROUND CHECK INFORMATION:  

A background check will be conducted after a conditional offer of employment is extended by the company and accepted by the applicant and must be satisfactorily completed prior to any applicant beginning work in a full-time, part-time non-student, or sensitive student capacity with Aztec Shops Ltd. 

Background checks will include, at minimum, verification of education and employment histories, criminal records, national sex offender registry check, and references. Additionally, based on the nature and scope of the position, the background check may also include a credit report, motor vehicle report, and verification of professional licenses. 

 

Failure to answer background check questions honestly, and satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the employment status of applicants or continued employment of current Aztec Shops employees who apply for promotional positions which require a background check.
