Join to apply for the Designer role at Floor & Decor This role offers a minimum base pay starting at $15.24 per hour , with higher pay based on experience. Purpose Floor & Decor Designers provide comprehensive, consultative design services that foster lasting customer relationships and brand loyalty. Responsibilities include meeting with customers, understanding their project needs, educating them on project requirements, and creating design concepts that reflect their style, lifestyle, and budget. Minimum Eligibility Requirements At least one year of interior design or retail/sales experience Design degree is a plus Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus Proficiency in basic math Self-motivated with multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Internal candidates need 12 months in a design consultant role Essential Functions Greet customers and support design walk-in needs Schedule appointments and develop clientele through networking Advise on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for various projects Design and sell functional, appealing solutions Manage multiple projects with accuracy and timely communication Collaborate with store leadership and staff to manage projects and meet sales goals Support company initiatives and stay updated on design trends Utilize design applications like Salesforce, MyProject, etc. Perform additional duties as assigned Working Conditions Limited travel, primarily by car Exposure to warehouse environment and noise Physical Requirements Medium work capacity, involving lifting, handling, standing, walking, reaching, and other physical activities as described.
