Dental Receptionist

The University of Louisville School of Dentistry prepares students for a career in Dentistry. Graduate Practice Clinics is where residents provide dental care directly to patients. The School of Dentistry is seeking a Dental Receptionist to work front desk at the UofL Graduate Practice located at 501 S. Preston Street, Louisville, KY 40202.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet, direct and interview patients.
• Enter demographic data in the computerized patient information system.
• Answer telephone calls and handle inquiries.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Compile patient charts.
• Serve as cashier; accept payments from patients; enter financial data into computer; issue receipts; balance cash drawer at end of day; set up payment contracts; work with insurance companies to obtain pre-authorizations; track payments and troubleshoot issues.
• Additional HIPAA / privacy training upon hiring; Infection Control training.

Target Compensation Maximum: $22.51

Target Compensation Minimum: $15.00

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
