SUMMARY: Responsible to oversee and direct the overall planning and operation of Before & After School and camp programming including program development and delivery, staffing, volunteer and community relationships, budgeting and financial management, facility planning/operation, and administration.
SALARY: $15.05-16/hr
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Oversee and direct program development delivery to incorporate ARB and support YMCA objectives, including but not limited to, Before and After programs; camp programs and support services for camp; and education programs.
- Ensure all required training is provided in compliance with state and Association standards, and that all program content is current, accurate, and responsive to participant needs.
- Recruit, hire, train, evaluate and supervise staff and volunteers.
- Maintain effective working relationships with various groups and committees, including parents of participants.
- Prepare applicable paperwork.
- Responsible for assisting in administration of all programs related to childcare; overall program growth through promotion and marketing; retention and evaluation; special program thrusts; staff recruitment; and innovative program efforts.
- Make decisions to support the welfare, health, and safety of all participants and staff by maintaining and enforcing policies and procedures in alignment with child care standards, Association quality expectations, and all applicable licensing or regulatory requirements.
- Develop effective working relationships with community leaders/groups, including schools,
service groups, government officials, etc.
- Remain knowledgeable of all Federal, state, local and YMCA regulations related to program area and inform and train staff on matters in a timely manner.
- Adhere to established association standards.

KEY LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES: Functional Expertise, Communication and Influence, Program/Project Management
QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma or its equivalent required and must be a minimum of 21 year of age.
- Post-secondary training in education, social services, recreation or equivalent preferred.
- Two or more years' experience in youth programming, building positive relationships with youth and volunteers, service learning and youth leadership development.
- Must possess and maintain CPR, First Aid, Oxygen and AED certifications.
- Must meet all licensing requirements under Federal, state and local regulations.
- Must have an excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
