Optomi in partnership with our client, is undergoing a large-scale transformation as part of a recent divestiture, building out a brand-new Azure cloud platform from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to join a highly visible initiative from day one, shaping how cloud infrastructure supports clinical applications used to directly impact patient care.

If you're energized by greenfield builds, legacy modernization, multi-cloud environments, and meaningful collaboration, this is your chance to lead from the front.

What You’ll Do

  • Help build and mature a new Azure landing zone from the ground up
  • Support the migration of clinical applications and services to Azure
  • Lead cloud architecture discussions with app teams—what services to use, what practices to avoid, how to modernize effectively
  • Partner with DevOps and Infra teams to design scalable CI/CD workflows and container-based platforms
  • Contribute to a long-term modernization initiative focused on containerization and microservices
  • Lead the strategy and execution for future Disaster Recovery exercises
  • Work with FinOps teams on cost optimization and forecasting
  • Influence culture and cloud maturity across the org—be a go-to voice for why cloud is done the way it should be

Must Haves

  • Azure Cloud Expertise – 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying secure, scalable, and highly available solutions using Azure core services: VMs, Azure Storage, SQL DB, Functions, VNets, CDN, and AAD.
  • Infrastructure as Code – Proficiency with Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep; strong understanding of IaC principles and best practices.
  • Automation Skills – Track record of automating deployments and workflows using Ansible, Azure DevOps, GitLab Runners, or Azure Automation.
  • Cloud Networking Knowledge – Deep familiarity with DNS, VPNs, load balancers, Azure Firewall, NSGs, and ExpressRoute configurations.
  • Strong Communication & Leadership – Able to educate app teams on how cloud-native development works, what tools to use, and why it matters. Can lead with influence, not just code.
