JANSON is seeking a full-time 3D Modeler : Architectural Modeling Generalist. This individual will be part of a growing and passionate team of creative strategists, designers and producers to work on a variety of projects for customers within the Military, Federal and Defense markets. The position will be a full-time position in our Atlanta office.

Location: Atlanta, GA

Start: Immediately

Clearance: Secret (Must be clearable)

Summary:

The ideal candidate will be a design professional who connects the dots between messaging and mission requirements with innovative, functional, and best-in-class design. You will collaborate with the Chief Branding Officer, Creative Director, and other designers to create solutions for the interiors and exteriors of buildings, conference rooms, lobbies, and innovation rooms as well as designs applied to virtual environments such as virtual campuses, exhibits, or facility replicas. Experience:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Digital Media Design, Architecture, or a related field is desired.
• Minimum 5 years of interior/commercial spaces, exhibition, experiential and/or interactive design.
• Must have experience with all aspects of modeling, hard and soft modeling, shading, textures, lighting.

SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrated proficiency using CAD software, 3D programs such as SketchUp, as well as requisite capabilities in Adobe CS at a minimum.
• Experience creatively solving problems, delivering innovative designs and fabrication solutions.
• Ability to prepare accurate and detailed designs, free form surface models and/or drawings based on concept sketches, photographs, or clearly stated functional requirements or appearances.
• Ability to innovate in design, keep up with new technology, and remain current with trends in the architecture and interior design fields.
• Collaborative team player who excels in team environment.
• Coordinates with project management to avoid deviation from design intent.
• Knowledge of functional analysis and space planning principles.
• Exceptional organizational and planning abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

PREFERENCES:

• Must exhibit exceptionally strong conceptualization skills.
• Design strategy is paramount for developing captivating experiences.
• Must be able to work in an environment whereby our customers are within the United States Military.
• Strong team collaboration skills and a passion for success.
• Deliver impressive design for interiors and exterior environments for both physical structures as well as virtual environments.
• Experience with Unreal, Unity, Mudbox is preferred, but not required.
• Travel not expected to exceed 20% annually.
